How the Plants vs Zombies 2 Game Is Played
If you have played the first installment of the app, the basic game play is the same. Your goal is to prevent the zombies from reaching the other end, as they will eat your brain, which will end the game. There are different kinds of plants that you can use to stop these zombies from reaching you. Each of them has different abilities. The zombies also have their own strengths; some of them are harder to take down compared to others. You can see the plants on the left side of the game window and they require specific number of suns to activate. You can only use them once you have the required number of suns, which you can collect throughout the game.
When you first start the app, you will be asked to create a profile. This is to save the progress that you have made in the game so you can continue with where you left the next time you play. Additional profiles can also be created for other players so that your progress will not be affected. One of the differences of this game to the original Plants vs. Zombies is that it has different worlds. You would time travel to different eras and you would be playing on different environments. Shovel can be used to remove a plant in case you wish to replace it with another one.
Plant food is another addition, which are dropped by some zombies. Feeding this to a plant will boost its power for a limited time. There are also special powers that you can use once you have enough coins that will let you electrocute, pinch or throw a zombie on your own. This may come handy on more difficult levels.
The Worlds
The story behind the game is that Crazy Dave, your neighbor, wanted to eat the same taco that he loved so much that he decided to time travel using his talking time machine van, Penny. But you too are taken to another dimension with them. Complete the levels, challenges and collect the stars you need to unlock the different worlds.
You will be first taken to Ancient Egypt. Once you completed the last level for this world and you have the stars needed, you will be taken to the next world, which is the Pirate Seas. After your pirate adventure, next is the Wild West. New plants will be unlocked on each world but there are also different types of zombies to face.
